JJK Fans...

I was at the Homecoming game and I made the analogy to a few friends.. The team has gotten better, the records have gotten better, and the crowds have gotten better since I graduated. But, the fact you keep your butts in the seats more than any town in this community has not changed one bit. I just found it amusing. Your team is struggling against a team they should beat, they have been through a lot here recently. You think you could at least give a clap, a woo? or something other than a "Yay.... first down." It just kills me, get behind your kids and act like you have a set of vocal cords. Stop sitting in the stands acting like you are the ones who should be the center of attention. Some people may not think so, but I believe I could sit lifeless dummies with red shirts in the stands and get the same response.. it's pathetic. Oh, and lets see how you fellows do when we start losing again... we will have to use lifeless dummies just to fill the stands, even more pathetic

For a big school who usually gets a lot of fans to show up, PV's fans are downright silent. They do not care at all. Its a social gathering, people show up to socialize and chit chat instead of actually getting their asses outta the seats and cheering.
I get so furious at PV home games. The kids are out there busting their asses, sometimes even imploring the crowd to cheer by waving their arms, yet the PV fans just sit there and stare.

my junior year we should have absolutely demolished PV, they ended up beating us at home by I think one point and you would have thought they got their asses handed to them, thats one thing i distinctly remember about playing PV, the fans (even the old folgies) go their to be social and show off that Viking pride that externally doesnt even exist. I worked with a guy that told me, in his own words, that he went to the games to snub opposing fans.... he sits under the goal posts at almost every game.

I am a Kelly fan and it royally ticks me off to be sitting there on my butt!! I don't go to football games to socialize! I go there to cheer on a group of young men who are busting their butts! I think its pitiful that the players have to wave their arms to try to get their fans up! Speaking of the homecoming game... We have a kid who can ROCK out on electric guitar.. one of our cheerleaders sits down and absolutely hammers it out on drums and the fans are just sitting there looking at them! It was sooo good that Rye Coves players were tapping their feet and bouncing a little.. Here everyone sits...looking around!
I have actually been asked to sit down because someone behind me couldn't see! If you dont care anymore about it then that.. listen to it on the radio!!
We definitely need some PEP in our fans!

BTW that young man is a musical whiz. If you think he's solid on guitar,you should hear him pick a banjo. He also is an accomplished percussionist,and may very well the most talented and versatile musician this area has ever seen. He has an amazing future lying ahead of him.
